Taittinger Champagne had to have an entrance! Cheers to a wonderful last night for my friend in France. We were very grateful to have her here in France!
Now she continues on to Morocco, and flies into Casablanca!

Now I continue to work on COLAs ttb labels..... Government label approval to bring wine into the USA. Haven't had Internet in 2 weeks! I am probably not going to sleep for the next few days catching up. My obsession.
But hey....it is what it is, and summer is here. Getting my head around the biz....because I love this biz.

The Montrachet vineyard is the jewel in the crown of Burgundy's white wines. It is one of five Grand Cru sites (climates) located in a cluster around the Mont-Rachet hill above Puligny-Montrachet. These vineyards produce some of the most expensive and rare wines in the world, often regarded as the ultimate expression of the Chardonnay grape variety.
This is my search of the week. White Burgundy....un-oaked French Chablis and Chardonnay....floors me! I can't wait to go visit a few wineries today, and le marche (farmer's market.)
Champagne, Cremant.....crisp, tart and ready for some oysters (les huitres), paired together...has got to be one of my favorite things on the planet! The combination of the acid with the creamy goodness of a juicy oyster is priceless....
I'm getting hungry.

I have been so concentrated on moving, I realize my love affair with wine....needs to be rekindled.
Beaune, France weekend was great! The rest of the Côté D'or....needs my attention!
I have found some gorgeous vintage, new wine, and excited the new wine buying season begins.

I am ready for the hunting and new tastings. I live here part time, and I needz to get busy.
Enough with all the paperwork and moving already! I'd be stoked when COLAs are completely finished. I would like to start working on visits to winemakers, wine dinners, new wine tastings, auctions, finding new clients, keeping happy clients, preparing pallets/organized, and getting back to work! I live for the thrill of it all. I am a girl, in love with this work, and who wants to earn a good living. #womeninwine #womenwhowork #workinghard
After this moving, downsizing shit....we hit the road between Bourgogne, and Portugal this year!
Portugal is actually where my fiancé s family is from, and we're visiting them this year. I'm so excited because they happen to be in the Douro Valley and Porto! (Nerd session!!!!)
Driving through Spain for Rojas and tapas, will be nice too.
I feel sometimes maybe we're doing too much, but what did we expect?! Beginning a new life, I'm learning is sacrafice, faith, love, and compromise. I'm giving my all, and this is a go! It's a little stressful, but here we are....there is no manual for this thing called life. 😄 😊
I'm really looking forward to seeing new things, tasting more wine, eating some serious good food, and having just (SF/Burgundy)
2 places 😨 to go to and call home. Feeling a little lost, but convinced that the worse is almost over. (Whew) Comfortable with makings things a little easier.

THE Downsizing continues! Making life a little more simple, between Bourgogne, France & San Francisco, California, getting married this year and 2 dogs! It is a good decision!

I've been so busy lately, I have to stop and think wine. But simplifying the life and living well, and not so large, is a focus! My guy wants to focus more on art, sculpting and restoration on
11th-14th century church/architecture.
I want to focus on wine, wine, wine, and keeping up with the busy pace. We both want to do business together, as a couple....and somehow the universe had us not go in other directions, and directed us to each other! Merci Universe!!!
This WALKIN bathtub was loved....I just want this duly noted!

But looking forward to...... little bridge canal cottage with a row boat! Different part of town, it's more medieval and the ancient part of the city. Used to be our Funhouse, we use to stay while renting the other. Ridiculous, going back and forth between France and SF, for work was getting out of hand. Too much, and being a responsible adult is not MTV cribs! Ya, dig....lol
Medieval will always be cool to me! I'm a beach girl from California.....you don't see architecture like this where I'm from!

Why not movers?! Some things yes.....BUT, Movers in France are not like the movers in the US.....we prefer to just do it slowly ourselves, and I will leave it at that.....ya just know what ya know..... Hey that experience can be another blog! LOL
I just need to stay positive and look at the bigger picture!
