California is instant gratification. Burgundy....is takes it's time. Which is better?! I like them both!

Montrechant, the most Noble of the White Burgundy's......
Californian Chardonnay's presents itself right from the bottle, instant gratification of the American pallet.
It should be about what ages, what last.....

LOL

He has a point.

The Montrachet vineyard is the jewel in the crown of Burgundy's white wines. It is one of five Grand Cru sites (climates) located in a cluster around the Mont-Rachet hill above Puligny-Montrachet. These vineyards produce some of the most expensive and rare wines in the world, often regarded as the ultimate expression of the Chardonnay grape variety.

This is my search of the week. White Burgundy....un-oaked French Chablis and Chardonnay....floors me! I can't wait to go visit a few wineries today, and le marche (farmer's market.)

Champagne, Cremant.....crisp, tart and ready for some oysters (les huitres), paired together...has got to be one of my favorite things on the planet! The combination of the acid with the creamy goodness of a juicy oyster is priceless....

I'm getting hungry.
I'm getting thirsty.

I sincerely hope you too may have an awesome day!

Also, Planning a petit tasting soon with friends, we'll see which ones they go crazy for. This helps with the buying, and what goes on the pallet for the fall. Summer! June! It's been raining a lot. But when weather permits, it's going to be a little party!
