Lately.....Summertime in Bourgogne.

Wine hunting season has begun, and taking it easy this year. Always looking for what's new and exclusive in California.
Taking it easy this summer. San Francisco really kept me busy. This is the time to come back to the countryside and explore.

Les Pintos

Focusing on my current clients, and introducing our wine tour guest to a new experience. Our guest from airbnb, vrbo, our La Maison du Pont www.jeuxdessaisons.com website, and new facebook visitors are booking and we are excited to share to fun wine tasting locations.

Interaction the winemakers, group fun and wine, sips and tips, while drinking responsibly, and stuffing our mouths with perfectly paired French CHEESE!

I'm coming across super Organic, hand crafted to perfection, small production(600-900 cases), and being introduced to new methods and fresh thinking.

Dinner with friends and sharing information about wine and food is always appreciated. xo

Sidenote: Dieselle has been a very happy girl.... :)

Fun to reconnect with the amazing winemakers I import. Taking my houseguest on Gothic wine tours, shipping back exotic treasures, sharing a world of ancient architecture, while drinking wine........in France. Whew! This is the time I am able to relax before the Fall/Winter Grind. Looking forward to the magic of finding that taste, that smell, that Hello Lover look when you hold up you glass and spin to admire the color. This is my time to slow the hustle, and remind myself that all of the running around in San Francisco was worth the push.
There are so many aspects of this world of wine.
It's not the pay, it is the lifestyle.

The Bohemian way of living a nomadic existence, and it's the fantastic adventure that keeps my obsession in the game. OK it is a little Hard work, and the paper work is redonk...and I mean....cra!
But when you start to seeing your passion take off a little more and more....that feeling of wtf slipping away?!? It is indeed satisfaction.
When you resist the doubt and the doubting.
 (Eye roll)
I laugh when I repeat to myself and hubby,
"I don't know why I'm doing this?! But, I truly love the thrill and enjoy the ride of the unknown."

Ambitious... trusting my instinct, keeping the goals, and believing always in the impossible. #blackgirlmagic #believingindreams

Today, just relaxing to a superb glass of wine.
Happy questions and sips and tips always welcomed.
Please Comment below for wine chat and Burgundy,FR.

Believing in new connections, grateful for savvy networking, other wine geeks who appreciate unique products in their establishments.....Thank you. Learning more all the time, living in France part time, and being completely open has got me this far. Also belonging to a secret society of professional winos is pretty cool too.

Helloooo Summer! 2 be continued.

Sharing a little secret LADIES!!!!! Bourgogne (Burgundy)

Ladies ya got to get to Bourgogne(Burgundy) right outside of Paris and it is a complete Gothic Medieval Paradise..... Castles🏰, Legendary Grand Cru Vineyards🍷🍾, 11th-13th Century Églises, musées, bibliothèques, and epic architecture.

I use to live in Paris, Rue Le Pic next to the cafe, where Amelie was filmed. In the District of Montmarte. I love it, but my closet in San Francisco was bigger. Also, walking out of the apartment for example...1 coffee, baguette or croissant, and a piece of fruit with yogurt.... 30 Euro...no joke.

I asked my company if I could transfer to Dijon. It was central, I had friends there and made more over a period of time. It was in wine country, which was my work at the time as a Wine Broker. But most important, it was cheaper and had a major train station. I loved that apartment on Rue de la Prefecture,
in the Place de Republic district.

Very international, great bars and restaurant, and right near the tram, to the train station. My landlord, was an  awesome lady, and I even took classes at the University of Bourgogne/Dijon. In the winter, (January-May) was my off work season, and just wanted to learn the language better, and study wine...which is a constant thing to do i my business. This area is a pretty cool place to visit, and easy to get around with the tram, and an awesome experience attending the Gout des Sciences.

I was pretty content and focused on work. Before, I took the job in San Francisco, for this abroad assigment, my dog had just passed of 12 years. Then my boyfriend dumped me. Yes, this is true and something about the men in San Francisco started to really turn me off. They don't commit and I was tired of feeling like it was me. So, I dived into something new and took a chance at a new job.
Then, out of the blue, wasn't expecting to I met a guy at a party. I was having a lot of fun being single... But this Sculpture/Architect...persued. I liked it. The men are pretty charming.

Who later became my boyfriend, fiance,  and now sexy hubby! He lived in Semur-en-Auxois.
Where the fuck was this place?
My friend who introduced us, said she'd save the surprise, and that he was so much more to get to know. I am glad I listened.
Already working in France, I knew my way around the Cote d'Or. It was actually fun to take him around and show him Dijon!
But, Semur-en-Auxois, was like a magical fairyland, and my friends loved to come and visit. We eventually downsized. I gave up my Dijon Apartment, and he sold his house....and we moved into our petite little house on the Bourgogne River.

The men over there like it when you are working, it makes you more desirable, and learning the language is key. Other than that, You are a sexy kitten with an accent, and easy to meet new, incredible men. Again, the guys in Paris like any other big city think they are to cool...a little too cool for me. I really like the simplicity of the men in the country!

Try something new....I did. I am very glad I tried.

This is just a typical run along the canal....gorgeous~

Did I mention way Cheaper, than Paris?!
No lines, crowds, hustle/ bustle, or craziness....You can actually relax....say what?!

Vacation rental....La Maison du Pont, Semur-en-Auxois

Downtown Dijon. Loved Living here for 2 years and was a wonderful place to meet a lot of new, laid back, and interesting people.

Authentic food🥖🥐  🧀🍇🍽️🤑😊, Great WINE in the French countryside, and your dollar will go further for the experience!

I am in love with BEAUNE! I love Beaune-in with it's mouth watering, complex, dark fruit. For me, pairs perfect with a Pork chop or one of my favorites and Julia Child's .....Beef bourguignon. Ohhhh laaaa laaaa! —

Beef bourguignon

Seriously Romantic getaway, and the people are just nicer. Single? Oh yeah....so was I....

This would be a Great time, to go "road-trippen" thru the famous Cote d'Or w/ your bestie!
Ladies, the MEN are way cooler, polite, sexy, and not trying to hard... Just saying.
I am spreading the word.

Exploring...

Being silly and this is actually a friends house in the background. Yep, some people you may meet, actually have a family castle... Say what?!

LES PINTOS

He proposed after 1yr.

Next to the Eiffel tower,
 I said yes!

He sculpted my ring. Say what. He gave me bling bling later, I am a simple girl. This still is my favorite story to share!

Never in a million years did I see this coming! Come to France. Visit the FRENCH countryside. Pay less money, eat and drink well, and find your Mr. Charming....
