French living and coming from an Urban SOMM's point of view.... Champagne? Fried Chicken, and would you like French Fries with that?! Are you having our fried Acaia flowers?

Who would think of such a thing?! Well if you're from San Francisco, you start to think outside the box! When living part time in France, and learning new things. Combining knowledge of taste, education, and switching off, and cooking with my French hubby. Things get very interesting in the mouth!

Fried Chicken, Champagne, and Acacia flowers...
Oh my!

Cooking Acacia fitters

(BEIGNETS D’ACACIA)

 and
 Fried Chicken.
Get

2 cups Flour, 2/3 H2O,
3 Eggs, 1 teaspoon Salt,
pinch of pepper,
2 tea spoons sugar,
dash of cinnamon,
rum(yes rum),

splash (2 teaspoons)of OJ
1/2 cup of cream,
pinch of nutmeg.
My special mix-mix.
Dust off with
powdered sugar
on the end.

https://youtu.be/OFhmudZOyT8
Don't forget the champagne! Now Drink!

WITH CHAMPAGNE!

I first saw acacia flowers in Dijon France and in Semur-en-Auxois, France (Burgundy) in my husband and my backyard. I know now, this is a spring time flower that grows in parts of France.
A of ours friend made my first batch. I was completely intrigued.
She told me that my backyard was full of these tiny "petit fleurs." I did some research on these little edible flower bunches and followed her recipe. I made it a few times, and finally got it right! I even added a few twist, for another perspective. We picked like 30 strong bunches and could of kept going because it was fun. Some recipes also say that you don't have to keep the stems. I think they are the the best part. My husband and friend recommended that I do as well.
The stem is edible, and acts as sort of a kebab..... Volia, and makes it easy to eat.

The set up for the flowers, can be used for the chicken too.

Our backyard tree. The tree that keeps on giving... Fleurs des Acacia.

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got it right, and doing it with my twist on it.
I already could fry some chicken, let me tell you!
Now I can fry little edible flowers too....and apples too. Yesssss apples too!  :)
Another plus they grow wild and for free, in my backyard.
Whoohoo!
Using the things that grow in the garden,
and making amazing things with them.
I buy organic chicken from farmers market
(le marche) or local. Trying new things, using my ideas, and combining foreign recipes.

Listening to great jazz and cooking is relaxing to me.
Putting things together to make something incredible.
Joining yummy and fried food to eat, and drink with Champagne!!
This makes me happy, and the hubby too!

Fluteau Blanc de Noir Champagne
Great reminder of a fried
chicken afternoon
with Martine.
I'm glad I picked up,
 more than one.
I think it's always best to buy 2,
if you like it.
This way you can have it
with a guest,
and know exactly what to cook it with.
Also, if you have to do a quick repeat.

There are other things that would blow your mind with Champagne....
Hamburgers, fries, dimsum, and more ....
Mind blowing with Champagne!
Fried Food and Champagne is making a new statement.
There's a new age of Drinking a classic treat!
More to come.... with bubbles and food from an City girl growing up in 7x7.

Benefits of GOLD.

Thinking of Drinking GOLD?
Go for it with Luxor 24K Bubbles.

The ultimate bling.

Game of Seasons, presents LUXOR 24K GOLD BillBoard in the San Francisco Wharf.

Happy to see Game of Seasons BIllboard Fisherman's Wharf working.

I have put my obsession into my business.

PASSION FROM THE SIPS OF my SOUL.
I'm Happy to spoil the selfish, and insist on just treating yourself or someone golden. Normal is boring, and there is nothing normal about this unique hedonistic beverage. Be ADVENTUROUS, TRY SOMETHING SPECIAL & LUXE. This is the golden way of thinking. Living life like it's golden, golden 2017!

Ok Ok, People also ask:
Do people eat gold?
Is gold leaf edible?
Is the gold poisonous?

"Pure gold is chemically inert and passes through the human digestive system
without being absorbed into the body.
Since 24-karat gold is very soft and fragile, most edible gold—whether leaf, flakes, or dust—also contains a little bit of silver, which is also inert."

-This is what Google says.....but in many cultures it's thought to be good for you.

Check out the link for Slate article below picture.
Interesting write up.

"Livin life like it's GOLDEN." -(by Jill Scott)
I love this radiant song and it reminds me of  this golden brand at Game of Seasons. #happiness #is #gold

For centuries, people from all over the world have been used to eating edible gold for its impressive effect, its inimitable aestheticism and its mystic properties.
Since medieval times, edible gold leaf in the form of flakes and dust has been used to embellish and decorate gourmet food. The Elizabethans created sumptuous banquets by adding edible gold to their table on fruits such as oranges, grapes, dates and figs. The Japanese have been adding edible gold to foods and even to their sake for centuries.
Edible Gold leaf is edible because gold is considered under this form of extraordinary fineness as a food colorant (E175) according to European standards.

The gold, in flake, powder or sheet form, is served up in everything from a rose champagne ($2,995 for a three-liter bottle) to chocolate cake and cappuccinos.
The article says the Russians are especially avid consumers of gold, and like to eat it with their caviar and oysters.
Plenty of U.S. restaurants serve up gold to those who like to wear their bling on the inside.
A New York chef came up with a $1,000 bagel featuring white truffle cream cheese and goji berry-infused Riesling jelly with golden leaves. An L.A. candy maker sells treats called Holiday Nougat, made with flakes of 24-karat edible gold leaf.

Ok Ok Ok I'll stop.....

These little web research stories are funny, but crazy!
Luxor is an affordable LUXURY brand.
This blog was only for the gold drinking doubtful, and those still questioning ingestion.
The rest of us are sipping, and enjoying the 24k gold champagne indulgence.

Valentine's Day approaching and Black History month is here! Game of Seasons featuring: For the LOVE of Rosé.

For the LOVE of Rosé.

Treat yourself, and you must treat your honey.
Sure, a girl or guy will say that it is ok not to do something on Valentine's Day.
But in truth, a little thought can be SEXy.
We want, to be loved. Simple gestures go a very long way.
We'll give back.
Trust me, for instance: A note in a pocket, flowers/wine delivered to the office. A sports game, or watch it in your favorite dive bar.
Bring homemade chocolate Guinness cupcakes anywhere you roll, for a surprise pop out(lavender sprinkles.)
Food truck and beer-wine gardens, are hip new ways to try new things.
Couple date nights with wine and the game Cards Against Humanity are fun for those that really hate Valentines. Fun times and wine with buddies, can take the pressure off.
(Just bring wine, and no fancy presents in front of people.)
A BarBQ at the beach, with your sweetie, (bring blankets, and your own charcoal bucket...for cool status), and grill for love.

Just a simple bath, will make your lady or guy feel special.
Nice bottle of wine, champagne, candles....and TRY POPCORN. This Can ROCK your world!
Go ahead, and get creative....there is no shame in having game.

Photo from @how-to-vogue style. Flip through a magazine for inspiration.
Then go to a local candle shop (I try and support small business first. Or visit your local target, or ikea.
I just thought this was funny!
City living is awesome!
Just remember, a well thought out effort is free. Simple, it's the thought that counts.

Having game is the real swag..... Simplicity can be luxury, in just another way.

Mr. and Mrs. Wooldridge-Pinto

However, traditional can be lovely. Go out to dinner.
Make your reservation now!
Don't forget Pink Bubbles are in. Don't call it a comeback....
Rose is making a sophisticated re-introduction, Champagne is back.
It has always been around.
I like the newer things coming out, something different, and small production. I feel like it has more of a special value, and more wow. People seem to like the hard to find, unique, and exotic.

What's for dessert?
Garabaldis Restaurant in San Francisco is a classic Petite Fine Dining Local Secret.
The dessert alone, is worth a trip to the Presidio.

Ok. What's my favorite cheap date night? A free
sunset walk on the beach,(in SF or somewhere else), with a great bottle of wine.
(cheesy I know)
Beach walks, staying warm on walks in San Francisco. Twilight, chilling with a bottle of wine, and sunset invite lovely moments to remember!

Be a stud for that special person in your life!
Romance is contagious!

Don't be a dud. Be in the present.

xoxox From Game of Seasons!

Go Barging! What is barging you may ask?

Welcome aboard! If my pictures could speak a 1000 words?! This was just a lovely and peaceful moment. On Board La Bell...
